Taniwha Daffodils
This is a charitable event run by the Mabin family from their farm. The Spring opening of this private property provides a limited and not to be missed opportunity to meet friends or bring your family to experience these grounds blooming with drifts of daffodils, set amongst mature trees and beautiful ponds. Walk amongst the daffodils, meander your way around the lush gardens while discovering and picking from hundreds of varieties of daffodils.
Take home your beautiful bunch of 30 stems for $10. If you prefer to visit without picking flowers, we kindly ask that you still support the cause with a $10 donation per car. We recommend you bring your own bucket/bag or container for picking and transporting your flowers home.
Enjoy a packed picnic under the shade of the trees, while the little ones embrace nature at its finest. Coffee and small food offerings available on the weekends from the Espresso Loco coffee truck, however picnics are welcome anytime.
Don’t forget to dress for all weather conditions!
Proceeds from daffodil sales and donations will go to the Central Hawke’s Bay Pregnancy & Parent Hub.
Community groups are encouraged, especially during week days.
For groups over 20 it is advisable to make contact, to avoid clashes and help with staffing.
